Since returning to WWE a few years ago, Cody Rhodes has become one of the top babyfaces in company history. His entrance generates a huge reaction from fans, and he has invested significantly in establishing himself in pro wrestling.
Cody Rhodes now travels via tour bus, which was a major investment. However, this might have saved him money, as he used to spend thousands on rental cars.
Speaking to The Angle Podcast, Jonathan Coachman revealed that Cody used to pay a lot for rental cars. He wanted to stay late at WWE events, meet fans, and do other activities without making anyone wait for him, so he rented his own cars out of courtesy.
“He ( Cody Rhodes) rented his own car service. Cody wanted to stay after every single show, so he rented his own car service. So to do that by the day, you’re talking $500-$1K, so over the course of 10 days he’s spending anywhere from $5K-$10K of his own money simply so he didn’t make the other talent wait and the other busses could go and he could stay as long as he wanted to.”
Cody Rhodes does not have an Undisputed World Title match at Money in the Bank. Instead, he will team with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to take on The Bloodline. This match could be a significant setup for future events.
Rhodes has always prioritized his fans, spending a lot of money over the years to stand out in the pro wrestling scene. Fans are eager to see what’s next for him after he finished his story at WrestleMania 40.
