WWE is undeniably the global powerhouse of professional wrestling, with its influence extending well beyond the ring, boasting strong relationships with major leagues such as the NFL, NHL, and NBA. In a surprising crossover, Bianca Belair has extended an invitation to WNBA star Caitlin Clark to compete in the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble.
As reported earlier, WWE announced plans to launch its groundbreaking partnership with Indiana Sports Corp, starting with the Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025, hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Bianca Belair recently spoke with Matt Aguilar of ComicBook Nation and extended an invitation to WNBA Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to compete in the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble Match. She was enthusiastic about the spotlight women are receiving in the WNBA and emphasized the importance of opportunities and media coverage. Belair highlighted WWE’s groundbreaking achievements for women in wrestling, including main eventing WrestleManias and weekly shows.
Belair envisioned a powerful intersection of these worlds, encouraging Clark to join the Royal Rumble as one of the 30 participants, giving more emphasis to the event’s unpredictable nature and potential impact.
“It’s so funny because everybody’s already asking that (Caitlin Clark being at one of WWE’s Premium Live Events in Indianapolis). Even before the press conference, they’re bringing up Caitlin Clark.”
“Listen, I love what’s happening with the WNBA. I love that women are getting more spotlight and more attention. I’ve always said, you know, we don’t need to do anything different.”
“We just need the opportunities, we need the media coverage and the WNBA is doing that.”
“I feel like WWE, we’ve done a lot of unprecedented things when it comes to women, whether it’s women main eventing WrestleManias, main eventing on a weekly basis at Raws or SmackDowns or PLEs so, it would be really cool for the two worlds to combine and have an even bigger impact for women so Caitlin Clark, if you’re watching, come on. Come in the Royal Rumble.”
“You can be one of the 30 participants. That’s what’s exciting about the Royal Rumble, right? You never know what’s gonna happen.”
“It could be the past, the present, the future or just someone that you don’t expect so, you might see Caitlin Clark, 2025 Royal Rumble right here in Indianapolis.”
Triple H has already responded to Tyrese Haliburton’s interest in being a part of next year’s Royal Rumble. Therefore, we will have to wait and see whether Caitlyn Clark will make her way to the event next year.
