WWE NXT has been producing some exciting action and television product over the last few months with their next premium stop being, NXT Heatwave. The event will happen on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as part of Money in the Bank PLE weekend.

On tonight’s June 25 edition of WWE NXT, the upstart Karmen Petrovich was scheduled to battle NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez following their brief altercation in the backstage area earlier in the night.

The match was joined by the woman who has made her intentions clear of a championship opportunity in recent weeks, Lola Vice. The NXT Latina observed the action from commentary.

Back to the ring, Karmen Petrovich put up a valiant effort against the champion. However, Roxanne hit a timely finisher to dispatch her off for the win. Right after, Lola Vice confronted her in the ring and knocked her down to the mat after Perez tried to attack her.

Following that, Lola Vice walked away with the NXT Women’s title and dropped it at GM Ava’s office, demanding a title match for NXT Heatwave, which was later made official.
