Rey Mysterio is a revered veteran in the professional wrestling world and he has worked with all kinds of talent over the past three decades and that also includes Logan Paul. They had a match at Crown Jewel last year and one particular spot from the match remains a topic of discussion even now.

During the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event last year, Logan Paul faced off against Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship. Paul would ultimately beat Mysterio, shocking fans all over the world. In the match, it appeared that Rey Mysterio botched a springboard moonsault and could have landed in his head by Logan Paul grabbed him in team, seemingly saving him.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Rey Mysterio was asked about that particular spot and if Paul actually saved him. Mysterio made it clear that people hype up the spot too much and noted that he had instructed Paul what kind of moonsault he was going to do.

Rey Mysterio stated that Logan Paul did not save him at all as he added that he simply would have landed on his stomach, but he acknowledged that Paul made a good save. Even then, Mysterio refuses to give credit to Paul for saving him.

‘They’re hyping it up and I know Logan took the credit for it. Um, no. So, uh, that’s funny because I always do that moonsault, and I, uh, I try to advise him that I don’t jump out, I jump up. So, you might have to take a step in to be at the right spot and catch. So, um, sure enough, I jumped up and not out like I had said. And, uh, I mean, he caught me. Yeah, don’t get me wrong, he caught me. But, uh, if he would have been there, I would have moonsaulted and just landed on my tummy. But he did make a good save. He did make a good catch.

And the fact, not only that he caught me, but that he powered me up, you know, he caught me in a squat position and he took me right back up and we continued. Yeah, he’s saying respect, man. I saved. He would have landed on his head. I give him respect for his ability and for how good he’s become. But not for saving me. Not for saving me. No respect for saving me. No respect. No respect, Logan.'”

Rey Mysterio is currently feuding with The Judgment Day again and will face his son Dominik Mysterio on RAW next week. Nevertheless, fans are now glad The Master of the 619 clarified his infamous spot with Logan Paul and now the topic may be laid to rest.
