Pat McAfee has been a mainstay of Monday Night RAW after returning at the Royal Rumble this year, where he works alongside Michael Cole on the commentary team. However, he was surprisingly absent from this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW and now the reason for his absence has been revealed.

During the June 24th edition of Monday Night RAW, fans noticed that Pat McAfee was surprisingly absent from the show. Michael Cole advised viewers not to read too much into Pat McAfee’s absence.

According to a report by PWTorch, Pat McAfee missed Monday Night RAW this week due to a legitimate last-second family emergency. It’s likely McAfee would have been the intended recipient of the box from Nikki Cross, which she instead handed to Cole. The box was addressed to McAfee.

Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Pat McAfee will reveal what kind of family emergency he had to do deal with. In the meantime, fans will hope he will be able to return to his duties on next week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
