WWE often features individuals familiar to indie wrestling fans in backstage roles. Security guards frequently fill these roles and have even played full-fledged cops at times. This week’s episode was no different, as WWE called upon a couple of indie locals when they needed a buff extra.

According to Sean Sapp of Fightful, OVW’s Luke Kurtis was one of the security guards for Chad Gable on Raw. Kurtis has made numerous appearances as an extra on WWE and TNA TV recently. Deonn Rusman was also utilized in the segment.

Chad Gable needed the extra security because he was trying to protect himself from the Wyatt Sicks. Fans thought he was murdered last week on RAW, but this week he had a close call, and his mortality is not in question.

Nikki Cross slid into the ring this week to give Gable a scare. She then delivered a VHS tape to Michael Cole, causing everyone in the production truck to scramble for a VCR to play the outdated media.

Chad Gable recently inked a new deal with WWE, so he is sticking around for years to come. Only time will tell if the Wyatt Sicks will allow him to see out the remainder of that deal.
