During the closing moments of WWE Raw last week, Chad Gable was one of the many victims of the Wyatt Sicks, a faction consisting of Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Joe Gacy. Now, Triple H is clearing up a bit of what went down.

Before the attack, Gable lost to Braun Strowman in a singles match and days later lost to Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle. During the incident, Gable was seen with blood coming from his temple, suggesting a potential gunshot wound.

On The Pat McAfee Show, Triple H addressed fan speculation about the incident. He explained that fans sometimes take their guesses too far. However, when fans saw a bloody circle on Gable’s temple, they assumed it was a gunshot wound.

“You see things on TV, and it escalated quickly from here’s Chad Gable laying down. He’s obviously unconscious. To him, ‘Oh my god, he got shot in the head.’ And there’s obituaries being put up on him. People wishing him well, you know, like, look, it’s one of the wonderful things about our fans is they, they just love to be engaged in the product and to, in their minds, fantasize where it can go and what it’s going to be. And it’s an awesome part of what we do. Every now and then we got to pull back into reality a little bit like, ‘Oh, Chad Gable is still alive. Okay.’ Clarify that for the record. Still alive. And if you come here tonight, you will probably see him actually competing.”

This faction is a tribute to Bo Dallas’ late brother, Bray Wyatt. During the dramatic closing moments of the show, top names like Carmelo Hayes, Gunther, Dominic Mysterio, Triple H, Chad Gable, and Cody Rhodes were targeted and symbolically left for dead. Those names are either confirmed to have been attacked because they were seen on camera, or it’s highly assumed.

The Wyatt Sicks storyline is unfolding, and anything is possible. Fans were warned of a massacre for months, with the first clue coming at the end of the Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal documentary released before WrestleMania 40. Now, the faction is active, and the story can go in any direction.

Gable was initially pulled from a Money in the Bank qualifying match on tonight’s WWE Raw, where he was scheduled to compete in a triple threat match with Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed. Ilja Dragunov replaced Gable last week, but WWE has since confirmed that Gable will be in the match.

What are your thoughts on the Wyatt Sicks faction’s brutal assault on WWE Raw and the storyline implications for Chad Gable and others?
