Kamille departed from the NWA last year, sparking speculation among fans about her next career move, with both WWE and AEW being considered as potential options. Eventually, she signed with AEW. However, up to this point, she has not been featured on their programming. We now have confirmed her status for Forbidden Door this month.
As previously reported, Kamille had signed contract with AEW already months ago. However, it came as a shock to fans that the company still hasn’t used her even once afterwards.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door is set to take place on June 30th in the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York and many fans are wondering whether Kamille will end up competing at the show.
While speaking on Fightful Select’s Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Kamille competing at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Sapp noted that Kamille is unlikely to compete at the show.
“As likely as anyone else I guess. I have not heard any creative plans for her.”
Kamille also made her in-ring return for the first time in several months recently. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Tony Khan will finally decide to use Kamille somehow, as fans feel she is simply being wasted at the moment.
