Josh Barnett Sets Sights on Goldberg for Future Bloodsport Event

Goldberg remains a legendary figure in the pro wrestling industry, having made a significant impact during his time with WCW. Despite his age, he continues to command a formidable physical presence. In fact, it appears that Josh Barnett is interested in using Goldberg’s presence for a future Bloodsport event.

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport featuring Shayna Baszler marked significant crossover between WWE and the independent wrestling scene. At the Bloodsport X event, Shayna Baszler delivered dominant performance against Masha Slamovich and it is safe to say WWE’s collaboration with Barnett was a huge success.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Josh Barnett discussed his aspirations for future Bloodsport events and the caliber of talent he aims to feature. Barnett, who actively competes in Bloodsport events himself, set his sights ambitiously high as he ended up naming Goldberg as someone he wants in a future Bloodsport show.

“First of all, Katsuyori Shibata. Then Bill Goldberg. I would also like to see Shayna Baszler in the Japanese tournament, and I would also like to see New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Voltin Oleg.”

In the meantime, Goldberg is determined to get his retirement match but he isn’t sure who his retirement opponent should be. Regardless, we’ll have to see if Goldberg will make his way to a Bloodsport event in the future.
