Carmelo Hayes finished up his time in NXT after losing to Trick Williams and was called up to SmackDown on the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft. He won a big match after qualifying for the Money In The Bank ladder match this week and now it appears he aims to steal Randy Orton’s ‘Legend Killer’ gimmick.

During the June 21st edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Randy Orton, Tama Tonga, and Carmelo Hayes delivered an intense match to determine who would qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder.

After a hard-fought battle, Carmelo Hayes managed to roll up Randy Orton, securing the pinfall and earning a spot in the coveted ladder match in Toronto, Canada.

While speaking on the SmackDown LowDown, Carmelo Hayes pointed out how he pinned The Apex Predator and then made it clear he aims to steal Randy Orton’s ‘Legend Killer’ gimmick.

“Yeah, I did pin Randy Orton. But come on Kayla, what did you expect? I’m Him. He is a 14-time champ, [a] legend killer. Maybe I should start calling myself a legend killer.”

We will have to wait and see whether Carmelo Hayes will end up becoming Mr. Money In The Bank and also the new ‘Legend Killer’ as fans are excited to see what he can accomplish on Friday Night SmackDown.
