MJF made his highly anticipated return at Double or Nothing and began feuding with RUSH on subsequent episodes of AEW Dynamite. MJF has now revealed why he chose to re-sign with AEW in the end.

MJF had confirmed his commitment to AEW by getting a ‘Bet On It’ tattoo, signifying his allegiance. Despite teasing a potential bidding war between AEW and WWE for his services in the past, it turns out MJF’s negotiations were more about hype than reality.

While speaking to FOX, MJF explained his decision to stay with AEW, stating Tony Khan is paying him an exorbitant amount of money and that he feels AEW is truly where the best wrestle.

“It was a very easy decision for me, mainly because Tony Khan is paying me an exorbitant amount of money. But outside of that, I believe in AEW and it’s where the best wrestle.”

MJF is set to square off against Hechicero at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 30th, so we will have to wait and see how The Salt of The Earth will fare against The Alchemist in the end.
