WWE has been executing a ground-breaking strategy that it has never done before under the new regime led by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, i.e., partnering up with several popular wrestling promotions to produce exciting television content.
In recent memory, The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles, is set to compete in a huge match at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Destination event against Naomichi Marufuji. On the other hand, RAW’s IYO Sky will take part in a match at the Marigold event as part of WWE’s partnership with them.
Furthermore, the company recently revealed that they would be interested in collaborations with Puerto Rican and Mexican promotions to produce crossover action for their respective top stars.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the owner of the top Mexico promotion, AAA, Dorian Roldan, has been in talks with WWE’s developmental territory, NXT, possibly to discuss business.
“AAA owner, Dorian Roldan has been talking with NXT.”
With NXT already joining hands with TNA for collaboration, which has been evident for weeks, it will be interesting to see if the company can work out a deal with one of the biggest companies in Mexico for business.
