NJPW Champion Makes Shocking Debut During 6/28 AEW Rampage Taping

With the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view set to take place on June 30th, the excitement is high for all sorts of inter-promotional matches in the event. Interestingly enough, an NJPW champion made their AEW debut during the latest set of AEW Rampage tapings for the June 28th episode.

Gabe Kidd’s recent win over Eddie Kingston to secure the NJPW STRONG Openweight Championship at NJPW Resurgence has elevated his career to new heights as he has displayed a whole new level of star power after becoming the champion.

During the tapings for the June 28th edition of AEW Rampage, Gabe Kidd made his shocking AEW Debut as he teamed up with Roderick Strong and defeated Carlie Gravo & Shawn Dean of The Infantry.

Gabe Kidd had previously teased making an appearance at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, so perhaps fans might just get to see him at the event one way or the other now.
