Nick Aldis, renowned for his success in NWA and TNA, made a transition to WWE last year, assuming the role of SmackDown General Manager. Amid speculation about a potential return to the ring, Aldis has now revealed the opponents he would consider facing, particularly at WrestleMania.
While speaking to Gorilla Position, Nick Aldis was asked if WrestleMania does take place in London, who would be the opponents he would like to face at the top of the card. Nick Aldis acknowledged that he has imagined and thought about the possibility of working with top wrestlers like Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, but he does not consider it a necessity. He believes that in a perfect world, those would be the best opponents.
Aldis expressed that it would be a true honor and something he would love to have the opportunity to do. However, he clarified that he does not plan or angle for it. If the opportunity arose, he would be willing and able to deliver.
“Yes, but not in a… how do I say this… of course it’s something that I’ve imagined and thought of. It’s not something that I think about in terms of ‘it must happen.’ But, if you’re asking me, I suppose in a perfect world, Cody, Roman, Randy, AJ any of those would be the best guys. To me, it would be a true honor, and I would love that opportunity. I don’t plan toward it, I don’t angle for it, but if it called for it, I’d be willing and able to deliver.”
Earlier this year, Nick Aldis suffered biceps injury but thankfully he is completely okay now. Nonetheless, only time will tell whether Nick Aldis will end up returning to the ring, especially if WrestleMania takes place in London.
