Giulia’s Status For NXT Heatwave Amidst Injury Revealed

Giulia’s unexpected arrival to WWE as part of their NXT Stand & Deliver took the wrestling world by storm and marked significant milestone in her career. However, last month, Giulia underwent surgery for a wrist injury and was discharged from the hospital a few days later.

Since then, she has been on the mend and steadily recovering. Moreover, the upcoming Marigold Summer Destiny, set for July 13, 2024, will feature Giulia in a highly anticipated match against Sareee, marking her return to the ring. Moreover, it was also reported that she plans to participate in the match despite her recent surgery, but with still no clarity.

However, regarding her NXT status, the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that Giulia will not be wrestling Roxanne Perez on the July 7 NXT show in Toronto. Sources in Japan and NXT have denied reports of her participation from the start. Due to her surgery, she won’t be ready by that date. Instead, Perez will likely face Lola Vice, who has been teasing going after her NXT Women’s Championship.

“Regarding Giulia, she is definitely not wrestling Roxanne Perez on the NXT show on 7/7 in Toronto. She and those in Japan (and one source in NXT) had denied the story from the beginning. She is injured and had surgery on her wrist and won’t be ready by that date. She is coming but not until later in the year. Perez vs. Lola Vice looks to be the match on that show.”
