Will Ospreay, known for his impressive accomplishments in professional wrestling including his current status as the AEW International Champion, had an apt response to a Twitter user who called him a bum on Dynamite this week.
During the June 19th edition of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland met inside the ring for a highly anticipated one-on-one confrontation. Tensions escalated as a heated verbal exchange ensued between Strickland and Ospreay, setting the stage for their upcoming clash.
The two had a heated back-and-forth promo that definitely got fans excited about their match at Forbidden Door on June 30th. A Twitter user called out Ospreay for dressing like a bum and not looking like a champion on the show.
”I like Will Ospreay but will someone show him how to FCKIN DRESS LIKE A CHAMPION?!?’! IT’S NOT HARD! Throw on a fckin suit you bum!! This is embarrassing! 🤡😂”
Will Ospreay definitely took notice of the Twitter user’s comment about his attire. He responded by clarifying that his style is typical of how people in Essex dress. To further underscore his point, Ospreay showcased an $18,000 Rolex, highlighting his taste and defending his fashion choice.
”I appreciate your view on how a champion should dress bruv. But this is how most of the lads round my area in Essex dress aye and for me to feel comfortable delivering my most authentic self I have to stay true. Hope this $18,000 Rolex made up for looking like a “bum”
Will Ospreay is set to square off against Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 30th, so we’ll have to see who will prevail in the end, as Ospreay couldn’t care less what others have to say about his dressing sense.
