The Owen Hart Tournament saw significant progress with a new development during the Rampage tapings following Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite.
As previously reported, the June 19 edition of AEW Dynamite, AEW unveiled the brackets for both the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournaments. The same night saw PAC defeat Claudio Castagnoli and Kris Statlander overcome Nyla Rose, advancing both PAC and Statlander in their respective tournaments.
During the AEW Rampage TV taping on June 19, Willow Nightingale faced Serena Deeb in an Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal Match. Nightingale emerged victorious, securing her place in the semifinals.
With this win, Willow Nightingale will now face her former tag team partner and best friend, Kris Statlander, in the semifinals.
In the other Women’s Owen Hart Cup quarterfinal matches, Deonna Purrazzo will take on former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida, while Mariah May will face Saraya.
