WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is one of the most respected veterans in the pro wrestling business, as many believe his mind for the industry is invaluable. He has been a major critic of AEW for the past couple of years and he recently stated that AEW is “bleeding out on the table” in terms of their storytelling.

Last year, the former WWE executive called AEW a ‘vanity project.’ In fact, Easy E even repeatedly criticized AEW for having poorly crafted storylines and having matches for the sake of it.

If it wasn’t clear already, Eric Bischoff isn’t the biggest fan of AEW. He doesn’t even believe AEW is contributing anything to the world of professional wrestling, unlike what WWE does.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff once talked about AEW’s storylines and stated that the company is “bleeding out on the table” in terms of its storytelling and desperately needs a triage.

“From a storyline point of view, that company is bleeding out on the table, and it needs triage,” Bischoff said. “Right now your characters are all over the map… there’s some great characters there, but there’s some that aren’t. There’s a lot of them that are the same. 75% of that roster looks like they’re there to f***in’ change your tires.”

Given Eric Bischoff’s recent comments criticizing AEW’s storytelling, it’s uncertain if he will refrain from commenting on the promotion in the future. Bischoff’s opinions will likely stay negative until AEW rectifies the errors he has pointed out, so we’ll have to see when AEW will improve their product.
