Adam Copeland wasted no time in becoming one of the top stars in AEW since last year, but he was already a huge star in WWE for 25 years before that. That is exactly why he has all sorts of whacky stories to tell and it appears one involves a fan asking him for an autograph inside a bathroom stall.

Over the years, many wrestlers have shared wild stories about fans attempting to get a picture or autograph under unusual circumstances. Adam Copeland recently added his own story to the collection.

While speaking to Freddie Prinze Jr. for new interview, Copeland recalled an instance where a fan approached him for an autograph in a restroom stall. He had just flown in and was meeting friends at Perkins.

Needing to use the restroom, he went into a stall, only to have a piece of paper thrust under the door by a fan. Copeland couldn’t help but think it was the worst possible timing. Despite his initial urge to stomp on the paper or worse, he decided against it. Instead, he signed the autograph but also took the opportunity to inform the fan that this was not an appropriate way to ask for one.

“I distinctly remember this one guy coming up to me, I had just flown in or something, I was meeting a couple of buddies at Perkins. I had to hit the head, so I go in there and I’m in a stall and a dude reaches a piece of paper under me and I just thought, ‘Man, if you could pick a worse time, I don’t know what it would be.’ I so badly just wanted to stomp on the paper and piss on it but I’m like, nope, I’m not gonna do that. I’ll sign it but I also got to give him a PSA that this is not the way to go about things.”

Adam Copeland has confirmed that he underwent surgery for fractured tibia and is currently on the road to recovery. In the meantime, he also revealed he has no plans to change his character, so he will likely share more bizarre stories until he is cleared for an in-ring turn.
