TNA Wrestling and WWE have collaborated in the past and they have started it again since last month with Jordynne Grace’s appearance on NXT television and now appearances from other TNA stars as well. In this light, fans wondered if CM Punk would return to TNA, and it appears Ace Steel doesn’t rule out Punk returning to TNA.
Before CM Punk made his return to WWE at Survivor Series last year, he paid a visit to TNA Wrestling during a set of television taping and this made fans wonder if he was going to appear on TNA television again.
While speaking with Lucha Libre Online, Ace Steel talked about CM Punk potentially appearing on TNA television again, particularly in light of the company’s partnership with WWE. Steel referenced previous reports suggesting Punk had visited TNA talent last year, indicating that such a move couldn’t be dismissed given the unpredictable nature of the wrestling industry.
Steel clarified that he wasn’t making any definite predictions but noted the wrestling business’s history of surprising developments. He referenced how, at one time, Punk’s return to WWE was considered impossible as well, so he doesn’t rule out Punk returning to TNA.
“You never know what’s going to happen with professional wrestling. It’s famously been reported that Punk was backstage quite a few times at TNA just visiting with talent… So you never know what’s gonna happen. I would never rule anything out. I’m not saying that’s definite by any means, but no one thought he’d be back in WWE and here he is, and he’s loving every minute of it.”
We will have to wait and see whether The Second City Saint will make his way to TNA television somewhere down the line, as that would definitely be a huge deal to the promotion in the end.
