The Salt of the Earth, MJF, has reemerged in the All Elite landscape, and the June 19 edition of AEW Dynamite marked his first in-ring action after months of inactivity following his spectacular return at Double or Nothing 2024.

The former AEW World Champion engaged in a battle with the Mexican star, RUSH, who seemed to have a vendetta against MJF ever since he came back to AEW. This led to a verbal back and forth last week that quickly escalated to blows.

Witnessing their actions, the match between MJF and RUSH was set to open tonight’s AEW show. Both men went to war against each other while the audience was enthralled to see The Salt of the Earth back in action.

Following an exceptional wrestling match with both men leaving it all in the ring, the closing moments saw MJF delivering a smashing finisher to cover RUSH for the three count. Following his win, he was confronted by Brian Cage and his crew appearing on the Titantron. Cage announced that his ally, CMLL’s Hechicero, wants to battle MJF at the upcoming Forbidden Door, leaving MJF surprised but still pumped up for the potential showdown.
