The June 19th edition of AEW Dynamite takes place at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia, as the build to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door continues, counting down to June 30 at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York. Additionally, a former IWGP World Champion was spotted ahead of the show this week, making fans wonder whether he will appear on the show.

It was previously announced that the Owen Hart Cup tournament will take place on the June 19th edition of AEW Dynamite and quite a few names have already been confirmed for the Men’s and Women’s tournaments.

According to Bodyslam.net, it was reported that former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi was spotted at the hotel where AEW talent is staying ahead of tonight’s AEW Dynamite. It was indicated he was seen engaging in conversations with various talent and specifically having coffee with Bryan Danielson at a coffee shop earlier in the day.

Shingo Takagi had recently made it clear he wants to win the Owen Hart Cup tournament and go on to win the AEW World Championship at All In this year. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Takagi will fare in the tournament.
