Cody Rhodes was one of the founding members of AEW in 2019 and he was always related to The Elite for several years before that as well. He was part of ‘Being The Elite’ but eventually stopped appeared on the show and has now revealed the reason for that.

The American Nightmare used to be a regular future on Being The Elite YouTube series, which starred The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and became a hugely popular series as a travel vlog.

Cody Rhodes was always a highlight of Being The Elite after he joined Ring of Honor, but started appearing less frequently after AEW became a thing in 2019. While speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Cody Rhodes reflected on his experience as part of ‘Being The Elite.’

Rhodes made it clear he was proud of his time working on “The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes.” He compared his commitment to that project to his approach to SummerSlam, emphasizing his dedication and immersion. However, due to his other responsibilities, he felt he gradually became less involved in the regular cast, especially as the cast itself changed over time.

Rhodes talked about his final appearance on the show, recalling the drone funeral scene fondly and feeling it was a fitting way to exit. He then teased potential cameo appearances or even a full return.

“I think the workload for me was the problem. Because I actually was really proud of “The Exorcism of Cody Rhodes” and pretty much everything I had done on there. But I treated that the same way I am treating SummerSlam, in terms of I was very committed. I was very all in. And with the job that I had, and the other job I had, I think I just kind of fell out of the normal cast. Plus the cast changed, I want to say my last appearance was the drone funeral, I loved that.I thought that was a good way to go out. You never know, that is a show that is everywhere. So, who knows? I could make a cameo. I could make a return,”

Cody Rhodes remains close friends with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, but that does not mean he will ever return to being a part of ‘Being The Elite.’ Regardless, Rhodes is happy with his current top position in WWE and that’s all that matters.
