Former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose is gearing up for her return to televised Dynamite action after a hiatus of nine months.
While Rose has been active in dark matches on Dynamite and appeared on AEW Rampage in October 2023, her last Wednesday night TV appearance was in the AEW Women’s World Title Grand Slam Four Way Eliminator match on September 13, 2023. Toni Storm emerged victorious in that match, which also featured Rose, Dr. Britt Baker DMD, and Hikaru Shida.
On the upcoming June 19 episode of AEW Dynamite, Rose will make her return in a quarterfinal match of The Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament. Tony Khan announced that Rose will square off against Kris Statlander in what promises to be a significant matchup.
Despite her absence from Dynamite, Rose has remained active in the ring, notably competing in ROH. In 2024 alone, she has participated in nine matches, with her sole loss occurring in a February bout against Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship in a Best Two Out Of Three Falls Tables match.
As a reminder, Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s show over in our AEW Dynamite coverage hub. Also keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates, because there could be several before the big show.
