Amidst the WWE and TNA collaboration, one of the most anticipated crossover appearances finally happened. On the June 18 edition of WWE NXT, popular TNA star Joe Hendry crossed the forbidden line, announcing himself as a participant in the 25-man battle royal.
Joe Hendry’s stunning appearance came after being fueled by multiple references on shows like RAW and WWE Clash at the Castle. However, despite his confidence and boastful claims of supremacy, Hendry was eliminated early in the match.
In a video posted by WWE NXT on X, Hendry could be seen visibly upset with his early elimination. As he came back to the backstage area, he caught up with the SVP of NXT and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Hendry sounded off on Michaels for putting him against 24 other superstars before bragging about his supremacy and leaving the premises.
“Was that your idea there? 24 men against me? Joe Hendry vs NXT? Well you know what Shawn, I can show up anywhere, anytime, on any show. All you got to do is say his name.”
Despite his frustrations and altercation with Shawn Micheals, Joe Hendry’s appearance on WWE television programming generated significant excitement among the WWE Universe with the fans possibly excited to see more of him in crossover appearances.
