On the June 17 edition of Monday Night RAW in Corpus Christi, Texas, fans were taken by surprise as the former World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins made a triumphant return to WWE television after a long hiatus. The Visionary, absent since WrestleMania 40 due to knee injuries, was met with a roaring ovation from the WWE Universe.

Rollins expressed his excitement at being back and wasted no time in announcing his intention to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship, which he lost at WrestleMania earlier this year.

Interrupting Seth’s declaration, the current champion, Damian Priest, emerged. Fresh off a successful title defence against Drew McIntyre at WWE Clash at the Castle, Priest acknowledged Rollins’ prowess and even admitted to having to want to cash in his Money in the Bank contract on him than Drew at WrestleMania, purely out of respect, followed by an exchange between the two.

Right after the segment ended, WWE took to their official Instagram to release a behind-the-scenes look at Rollins’ return. The Visionary could be seen as slightly nervous, but hearing his entrance theme song and the roar of the audience, he immediately took off to make his thunderous return.
