WWE Clash at the Castle proved to be one of the most enthralling and successful shows in the Paul “Triple H” Levesque era. A record-breaking gate was announced for the show, and the fanbase in Scotland had a spectacular experience.
However, a topic of discussion centred around rope botches that were witnessed during the event. One saw Jade Cargill attempting to execute a move by jumping through ropes only to botch it. Another instance was witnessed during the main event when Damian Priest was attempting to execute a diving move through the ropes.
This led to many detractors claiming that the botches occurred during the show due to the rope issues. However, Shayna Baszler, who was part of the match where one of those botches happened, decided to throw some shade at them.
The Queen of Spades took to her X to highlight her partner, Zoey Stark’s prowess in executing three perfect springboards. She dismissed the claims and subtly meant that Cargill and Priest failed to execute the moves on their own account and not due to any issues with the ropes, while Stark managed to pull it off successfully.
“Ropes issue” but @ZoeyStarkWWE nails 3 perfect springboards. MVP status.
Despite the team’s prowess in this regard, the other challengers in the WWE Women’s Tag Team title match and Scotland’s own, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, walked away with the win and became new champions. With intriguing developments coming out of WWE Clash at the Castle, it will be interesting to look forward to these ongoing storylines moving forward.
