There has been a notable reorganization at Impact Wrestling TNA Wrestling, marked by the departure of several significant names from the backstage department. In response to these changes, Anthem, the parent company of Impact Wrestling, has reportedly hired a former WWE executive.

As previously reported, Lou D’Angeli, formerly known as Lou E. Dangerously in ECW, parted ways with TNA Wrestling recently as part of the company’s latest round of departuresRD Evans was another notable departure from TNA Wrestling as well.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc sent out a press release and appointed Rob Kligman as the new Chief Revenue Officer of Anthem Sports Group, effective immediately. This announcement positions Kligman to oversee revenue strategies for TNA Wrestling and Invicta Fighting Championships, two prominent entities under Anthem’s umbrella.

With nearly three decades of experience in mainstream sports and a notable tenure at WWE as Vice President of Global Digital & Integrated Sponsorship Sales, Kligman brings a wealth of expertise in driving revenue and fostering strategic partnerships.

In his role, Kligman will focus on enhancing revenue streams across various platforms including FAST Channels, TNA+, PPV events, social media, and merchandise. He will collaborate closely with the sales team at AXS TV, where TNA’s flagship program, TNA iMPACT!, airs weekly. Anthony Cicione, President of Anthem Sports Group, highlighted Kligman’s impressive track record and emphasized his pivotal role in expanding opportunities for growth at TNA and Invicta FC.

Prior to joining Anthem Sports Group, Kligman served as Vice President of Marketing Operations & Sales at G Fuel, where he led strategic partnerships with Netflix, Marvel, and Activision Blizzard. His career also includes executive roles at USA TODAY Sports Media Group and Time Inc., where he contributed significantly to multimedia sales and national advertising strategies.

Reflecting on his new role, Kligman expressed enthusiasm for Anthem’s diverse content offerings and the iconic status of TNA Wrestling and the pioneering efforts of Invicta FC in women’s MMA. He aims to capitalize on the momentum of both brands, serving their passionate fan bases and forging innovative partnerships to drive continued growth.

We have also reported on TNA’s current management structure following the recent set of departures. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Kligman will perform in his role in Anthem Sports.
