Ricochet’s WWE contract is approaching its end in the summer of 2024, and during last week’s Monday Night RAW, his storyline saw him being written off television. Initially, there were reports suggesting WWE might use him again eventually. However, it now seems that is no longer the case.
During the June 10th episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker stunned viewers with a vicious attack on Ricochet. Breakker’s assault was relentless, climaxing in a brutal slam against a car that rendered Ricochet incapacitated. Emergency medical personnel quickly arrived, evacuating Ricochet into an ambulance with Samantha Irvin at his side. This dramatic turn of events effectively sidelined Ricochet from WWE television for the foreseeable future.
Following the events on RAW, discussions had surfaced regarding Ricochet possibly making a final appearance for WWE to capitalize on the storyline, especially given that he still has time remaining on his contract and has amassed a significant fan following
According to PWInsider, initial reports suggested Ricochet was finished with WWE, but there was speculation they might use him again before his contract expired in July. However, it now appears Ricochet is officially done with the promotion. Once he becomes a free agent, he is expected to be in high demand, with AEW seen as the most likely destination for him.
Even Will Ospreay hinted at a future encounter with Ricochet last week. It remains to be seen whether Ricochet will end up in AEW this year, as fans feel that is the most likely outcome.
