Scrypts, who transitioned to WWE’s NXT brand amid high expectations, did not achieve the impact many had expected. Earlier this year, he departed from WWE, and he finally made his in-ring return during the most recent GCW event.

Now known as Sidney Akeem, it was previously confirmed that he was going to compete in the GCW arena for the first time on June 15th, which would be held in Los Angeles. Naturally, there was a lot of excitement for his in-ring return as well.

During the GCW Hit Em Up event, Sidney Akeem squared off against Jack Cartwheel in Akeem’s first match since his WWE departure. Akeem truly showed off his incredible athleticism in the match and managed to secure a victory by hitting an insane cutter on Cartwell.

It is safe to say that Sidney Akeem has a bright future ahead of him in the independent circuit, so we will have to wait and see whether he will end up signing with a major promotion eventually as well.
