CM Punk has been feuding with Drew McIntyre for a long time now and it all came to a head at Clash at The Castle, where Punk screwed McIntyre. In light of this, WWE has released footage revealing how Punk got the referee shirt in the first place.

During the Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event main event match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre, there was a point where the referee was knocked out. McIntyre basically had the win but there was no referee in sight.

Suddenly, a referee came to make the count but it turned out to be CM Punk. Punk would proceed to hit Drew McIntyre with a low blow, leading to Damian Priest hitting his finisher on McIntyre for the win.

Following the conclusion of the match, WWE took to its official Twitter account and uploaded a video, revealing that Punk was watching the match backstage before he asked referee Jessica Carr for a referee shirt. Thus, he ended up interfering in the match and ruining McIntyre’s night.
