Will Ospreay garnered attention for his response to comments made by WWE’s Triple H. In light of Ospreay’s previous remarks, some are considering the possibility that Triple H’s perspective on Ospreay may hold merit.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show as part of WWE World, Triple H talked about his strategy for hiring new talent. He pointed out that many wrestlers opt for other promotions because they provide lighter schedule, highlighting the importance of work-life balance in their career decisions.

“When I see people coming out of trying to make it, and then they pick a job where, well, they work less, the schedule is lighter, then I’m like, ‘I’m glad I didn’t pick you.’ If you’re not in it for the grind, at that point early in your career, you have no business being here.”

On a recent episode of AEW Dynamite, Will Ospreay directly addressed Triple H’s comments and didn’t hold back, taking several personal jabs at The Game in the process.

“There’s this rumor going around, right? There’s this rumor that I’m afraid of the grind. I’ll be honest with you, I have no idea where this conversation has come from because I’m one of the only guys that are traveling every single week to the UK and America, 8, 10 hour flights every single week. I am delivering some of the best professional wrestling matches this world has ever seen, bruv. Normally, I wouldn’t rise to this type of bait but seeing as the guy that said it is only in the position he’s in because he was grinding on the boss’s daughter, you are in no position to tell me what the grind is all about my friend because you have no idea what I fight for. Let this be a painful jab back and a gentle reminder that you do not throw stones at an assassin with a machine gun.”

While speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager talked about Triple H’s comments about Will Ospreay being afraid of the grind and made it clear that he agreed with The Game.

“I have no sympathy for Mr. Ospreay [Will Ospreay]. Triple H was probably right about him. He’s probably not ready for the grind certainly. But the grind now is still nothing like it used to be. It’s a lot better for the talent now than it used to be because it couldn’t get any worse.”

Will Ospreay noted that he would never get involved in such drama again. Regardless, Will Ospreay has moved on from the whole situation and fans hope others do the same as well.
