WWE’s Backstage Reaction to Wendy Choo’s Character Change

After airing several vignettes over the past few weeks, WWE NXT finally unveiled a new video on its latest episode, announcing Wendy Choo’s return scheduled for the June 11 edition of the show. She made her comeback with a revamped character and now WWE’s reaction to her character transformation has been revealed.

Previously, Wendy Choo was recognized for her playful persona, often appearing in pajamas and fluffy slippers while drinking from a thermos. Her last match was on May 16 at an NXT Level Up taping, teaming with Kelani Jordan to defeat Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice.

On the June 11 episode of WWE NXT, Wendy Choo made her return sporting a drastically new look and persona compared to her previous appearances. She faced Brinley Reece in a singles match, showcasing a more aggressive and focused demeanor right from the start.

In a dominant display, Wendy Choo secured victory by forcing Reece to submit to a significant submission hold, making a strong statement in her return to NXT under her revamped character.

Fightful Select reports that NXT officials were genuinely pleased with Wendy Choo’s new presentation and the positive fan response to her revamped character.

We will have to wait and see how Wendy Choo will be booked on NXT television in the coming months as it is quite clear that WWE has big plans for the young Superstar right now.
