Randy Orton faced off against Gunther in the King of The Ring finals last month but lost the match and he was severely banged up, due to which he was out of action for a while. He ended up returning during the June 14th edition of SmackDown to a thunderous reaction.
It was previously noted that Randy Orton required knee assessment following his match with The Ring General. Since then, Kevin Owens teamed up with The Street Profits to square off against The Bloodline.
During the main event of the June 14th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens squared off against Solo Sikoa in a singles match. Sikoa would win the match after Owens got too distracted with Paul Heyman.
Afterwards, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa started beating down on Kevin Owens and suddenly, Randy Orton made his triumphant return in three weeks as he helped Kevin Owens take down The Bloodline.
Ultimately, The Bloodline retreated as Kevin Owens and The Apex Predator stood tall to close out the show. We will have to wait and see how WWE will continue to book The Bloodline and Orton & Owens’ feud in the coming weeks now that Orton is back.
