Drew McIntyre’s ascent to superstardom in WWE has been truly remarkable, marked by perseverance and numerous achievements. Currently, in Scotland ahead of the June 14th edition of Friday Night SmackDown, McIntyre has confirmed his wife is undergoing emergency surgery.
McIntyre is slated to face current World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle event on June 15th at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, in what is one of the most significant matches of his career.
While speaking during the Clash at The Castle kickoff show, Drew McIntyre expressed his determination and emotional turmoil ahead of Clash at The Castle, revealing his personal connection and commitment. He shared that despite being back home surrounded by his support system and preparing for a significant redo, there was a heavy concern on his mind.
McIntyre disclosed that his wife was undergoing emergency surgery at that moment, highlighting her supportive message to him: “I want you to go there and bring that title home.” In this heartfelt declaration, McIntyre affirmed his resolve to honor his wife’s wishes by bringing home the championship, despite her absence due to medical circumstances.
”I’m back home, I’m gonna have my people there, my family there, a redo. I wasn’t gonna talk about but I can’t stop thinking about it. The one person who’s not gonna be there is my wife, who’s in surgery right now, emergency surgery. She told me ‘I want you to go there and bring that title home.’ And I’m gonna bring that title home.”
We will have to wait and see whether Drew McIntyre will be able to defeat Damian Priest at Clash at The Castle on June 15th, as fans truly desire The Scottish Warrior to pick up the win and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
