AJ Styles Addresses Potential TNA Return Amidst WWE Collaboration

TNA Wrestling and WWE have resumed their collaboration and fans are clearly excited for what both companies can accomplish with the partnership. One name who has been part of both companies is AJ Styles, and he has addressed potentially returning to TNA as part of the collaboration.

Before achieving significant success in NJPW and later WWE, AJ Styles established himself as one of TNA Wrestling’s standout talents for several years. Despite being considered one of the best talents in the promotion, there was a persistent desire among fans for Styles to join WWE, which did not materialize during his tenure with TNA.

Towards the conclusion of his time in TNA, AJ Styles’ booking and treatment began to draw criticism as he was not utilized to the extent many believed he deserved. The situation escalated when TNA underpaid Styles, which ultimately led to his departure from the promotion. Styles made it clear he was not happy about being overshadowed in TNA.

AJ Styles recently spoke with Cultaholic’s Fraser Porter about the potential for a crossover between WWE and TNA and Styles made it clear he does hope he can return to TNA.

“I would say that hopefully something like that happens. It’s good for not only talent in WWE to go to TNA, TNA to come to WWE, it’s better for the younger talent to get into the ring with some people who have different styles. It’s very important that we are well rounded and you can’t do that all in NXT. So the fact that we’re going to be able to do that somewhere else is great.”

AJ Styles is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event on June 15th, so we’ll have to see how that will turn out before any potential TNA return.
