Ricochet’s WWE contract is nearing its end in the summer of 2024, and his storyline on Monday Night RAW this week saw him being written off television. This has fueled speculation about his potential move to AEW. Adding to the speculation, Will Ospreay has hinted at a possible encounter with Ricochet.

During the June 10th episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker shocked viewers by launching vicious attack on Ricochet. Breakker’s assault was relentless, culminating in a brutal slam against a car that left Ricochet incapacitated. Emergency medical personnel rushed to the scene, evacuating Ricochet into an ambulance with Samantha Irvin by his side. This shocking turn of events effectively removed Ricochet from WWE television for the time being.

Will Ospreay added fuel to the speculation about Ricochet possibly joining AEW by teasing his arrival on his Instagram story. He posted a video of a Ricochet banner as he stated that the banner’s name was ‘s***.’

”Oy, your name’s s***.”

Following the events on RAW, there were discussions about Ricochet potentially making one final appearance for WWE to capitalize on the situation, considering he still has time left on his contract and has garnered significant fan interest.

WWE later issued statement on Wednesday, confirming that Ricochet sustained multiple upper body injuries and will be sidelined indefinitely. It remains to be seen whether Ricochet will end up in AEW this year, as fans feel that is the most likely outcome.
