Ricochet’s future has been uncertain ever since it was reported that he had given WWE notice of his intent to leave the company when his contract expires this summer, which has made major headlines.
On the June 10 edition of Monday Night RAW, the dominant Bron Breakker brutally attacked Ricochet, who was subsequently loaded into an ambulance and possibly written out of WWE television programming.
Moreover, he has been linked to be heading to AEW as well. In a related discussion on “Grilling JR,” AEW commentator Jim Ross was asked if he would be surprised to see Ricochet join AEW.
Moreover, he stated it would depend on how Ricochet is introduced and positioned within the company. Ross acknowledged Ricochet’s talent and athleticism but noted his tendency to rely on high spots. He suggested that AEW could be a good fit for Ricochet, given the regular work schedule and quality of the roster Tony Khan has assembled. Ross emphasized that if brought in correctly, Ricochet could make a significant impact.
“Well, not really, but I don’t know how much difference he makes. It depends on how he’s brought in and how he’s presented and positioned. He’s a talented kid, there’s no doubt about that. I’ve met with him before, and I like him. He’s very spot-heavy. I’d like to see him be a little bit more fundamentally sound. But he’s very talented and athletic, so who knows? It seems obvious that the AEW brand might be where he migrates to. “
“It’s regular work, and guys can work one or two days a week and still make a good living and work with quality guys. Tony Khan has assembled an amazing roster. Ricochet could add something to the mix if he’s brought in the right way and makes an impact. We’ll see how it works out, but he’s a good kid and very talented.”
Following Bron Breakker’s attack, WWE announced that Ricochet would be out of action for an undisclosed period. So, we will have to wait and see if he is actually done with the company and headed to AEW in the near future.
