Carmella has been part of the WWE family for several years and she underwent numerous changes in her career. This included the time she debuted her ‘Untouchable’ gimmick and has now admitted she never wanted a new gimmick after debuting that particular character.

Back in 2020, Carmella debuted her ‘Untouchable’ gimmick as she attacked Mercedes Mone on Friday Night SmackDown, leading to a longstanding feud between the two. However, the gimmick would eventually be scrapped.

A fan took to Twitter and stated that it was a shame Carmella didn’t like her ‘Untouchable’ gimmick. Carmella responded to the fan, noting that she didn’t really want a new character at all.

When informed of the need for a new direction, Carmella committed wholeheartedly. She pitched an entirely new character concept, aiming to revitalize her persona and storyline. She expressed her dedication to the new direction, emphasizing her proactive approach to the creative process.

”It’s not that I didn’t like it. I just didn’t want a new character. And it didn’t pan out the way it originally started so it felt like I wasn’t doing the character justice. When I was told I needed a new direction I went all in and pitched this entire character. Going to find the original video I had made and post it here for yall.”

Carmella has also confirmed her in-ring return status while she remains absent from WWE television. We’ll have to wait and see if Carmella will ever bring back the ‘Untouchable’ gimmick somewhere down the line.
