WWE WrestleMania 40 shattered numerous company records and garnered acclaim as one of the most remarkable shows in history. Confirmation has now been provided on the total number of tickets distributed for both nights of the event.
A standout achievement of WrestleMania 40 was its unprecedented gate, surpassing previous records by a staggering 78%. Held at Lincoln Financial Field across two nights, the event drew a whopping 145,298 attendees from all corners of the globe, solidifying its status as a cultural phenomenon on a global scale.
Records obtained by Wrestlenomics reveal that WrestleMania 40 Saturday saw 56,147 tickets sold, with an additional 3,889 tickets distributed for free, bringing the total attendance to 60,036.
On WrestleMania 40 Sunday, there were 56,758 tickets sold and 3,445 tickets comped, resulting in a total attendance of 60,203 for that night. Combining both nights, the total number of tickets distributed amounts to 120,239.
It should also be noted that WWE officially reported attendance of 72,543 for night one and 72,755 for night two. We have also previously reported that WrestleMania 40 Sunday set a new record for the highest ticket sales ever for a single-day pro wrestling event.
WrestleMania 40 has cemented its place in the record books and set a new standard for Premium Live Events. The anticipation now lies in whether WrestleMania 41 will surpass its legacy.
