Ricochet’s WWE contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024, and his narrative arc on WWE television took a dramatic twist during the latest installment of Monday Night RAW. It now appears that Ricochet has garnered support for a potential move to TNA.
During the June 10th episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker unleashed a brutal assault on Ricochet. He subjected Ricochet to a savage beating, culminating in a merciless slam against a car. The onslaught left Ricochet incapacitated, necessitating his evacuation into an ambulance, accompanied by Samantha Irvin. This effectively wrote him off WWE television for the foreseeable future.
In a conversation with Tom Campbell of Cultaholic Wrestling, current TNA Wrestling talent Leon Slater shared his thoughts on the prospect of Ricochet joining TNA. Slater believes it would inject new energy into the X Division.
”Again, I think that would be extremely cool (if Ricochet landed in TNA Wrestling). As I think a lot of people from my kind of generation, we kind of grew up on Ricochet. Him and (Will) Ospreay really introduced this new style that we all kind of mold ourselves into so to get to work with him would be incredible for sure, and I think more than anything, I think it’d be a real kick up the ass for us all in the X Division to really up our game because Ricochet… he’s one of the greatest high-fliers of all-time and one of the greatest to ever do this style that we do. So especially for me, I think it’d be a great challenge and I think he’d be someone that I’d really wanna step up to and up my game to face.”
There has also been some backstage chatter regarding Ricochet in AEW. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Ricochet will end up next, as the sky is truly the limit for him.
