MVP has remained one of the most dependable superstars in WWE history, but he is someone who has learned from his past mistakes. This includes the time he went to prison at 16 and has now revealed what led him to get jailed.

MVP had a rough upbringing and grew up fending for himself on numerous occasions. In fact, he spent several years in jail and MVP has always acknowledged how it changed him.

The former United States Champion took to Twitter and revealed the reason why he went to prison. MVP confessed to robbing a casino on a cruise ship at the age of 16, likening the experience to something out of “Ocean’s 11.”

Regretting his misuse of intelligence, he admitted to escaping but being betrayed by his associates. Despite maintaining silence, he faced consequences as the judge vowed to educate him.

”Most of you don’t know why I went to prison. I robbed a CASINO on a CRUISE SHIP at 16!!! Ocean’s 11 type shizz. I used my intelligence for the wrong things. I got away but my “boys” snitched. I refused to talk. The Judge said “we’ll teach YOU.” I’ll tell you all about it…”

MVP has recently undergone stem cell therapy and hopes to have one last run inside the squared circle before hanging up his boots for good. Nonetheless, MVP is a prime example of how one can turn their life around after being at their lowest point and fans truly admire him for that.
