NXT’s Premium Live Event, Battleground, saw TNA’s Jordynne Grace challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship but unfortunately lost the match. In the aftermath, she decided to stop wearing ear piercings after suffering a brutal injury during the event.

As the match reached its closing moments, another NXT star, Tatum Paxley, appeared at ringside and grabbed Grace’s Knockouts title. However, her actions were swiftly countered by former WWE and TNA superstar Ash By Elegance, who intervened to stop Paxley. Amid the ensuing chaos, Jordynne Grace managed to take down both Paxley and Elegance.

This brief distraction allowed Roxanne Perez to execute her signature move to secure the pinfall and successfully retain her title. After the show, Jordynne Grace shared a photo revealing that a piece of her ear had been cut off again. In her post, the TNA Knockouts Champion vowed to stop wearing ear piercings during matches to prevent further injuries.

Moreover, she further revealed on X that her mother keeps a close eye on her every time she performs inside the squared circle and blows up her phone, citing the recent injury she suffered on her ear during NXT Battleground.

“Three guarantees in life. Death, taxes, and my mom blowing up my phone on the day of shows. Some things never change 💕.”

This isn’t the first time Grace has suffered a similar injury, as her ear was slightly torn off during the May 23 television tapings of IMPACT. Recognizing the issue, Grace has decided to retire her ear piercings in hopes of avoiding such injuries in the future which could be a good decision he took after her mother’s reaction and also for her in-ring career.
