Gunther Reacts to The Undertaker’s Recognition of His Wrestling Skills

GUNTHER’s reign as the WWE Intercontinental Champion already cemented him as an all-time great in the company and that’s why legends like The Undertaker gave him a ton of praise. In light of The Deadman’s remarks, Gunther has finally given a response.

The Undertaker concluded his in-ring career a few years back, but The Deadman continues to offer insights into the current crop of wrestlers and the professional wrestling scene. Recently, the WWE Hall of Famer commended Gunther and his contributions to the Stamford-based promotion, where The Deadman stated that the sky is the limit for Gunther and praised Gunther for his in-ring acumen as well and ability to tell a story.

During an interview on Keith Whitter’s Witty Whitter YouTube show, The Ring General reciprocated The Deadman’s praise. The 2024 King of the Ring expressed gratitude for the affection he’s been receiving from both fans and veterans alike. Gunther also noted how he and The Phenom have similar wrestling styles.

“I mean, that’s great, obviously. I mean, obviously, the feedback of the fans is kind of what dictates our journey, like how successful that’s going to be, and I guess for every professional, it’s always something else that comes from a peer or a colleague. It’s nice to hear those things, and I chat with him [The Deadman] sometimes when we run into each other at WrestleMania or something.

Yeah, but a style he worked through, he wrestled through his career. I think, uh, yeah, it’s not that far off that he would be positive toward me because I think it’s somewhat similar.”

Gunther is the current King of The Ring has been on a roll for the past few months. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see what’s next in store for The Ring General, as the sky is truly the limit for him.
