Drew McIntyre has been waiting for the opportunity to compete in a big fight field in his home country of Scotland for years, and now, the time has finally come for The Scottish Warrior to live his dream.
McIntyre is set to battle current World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest at the upcoming WWE Clash at the Castle event this weekend in the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, in perhaps one of the biggest matches of his life.
The Scottish Warrior took to his Instagram to announce his arrival in Scotland, breathing the fresh Scottish air. He then announced his plans for the next few days, which included watching a football game, doing media rounds, and being laser-focused on his task of winning the World Championship on Saturday.
“Breathing in that Scottish air 🏴 A huge week starts here…#WWECastle.”
Following his arrival, as seen on his Instagram stories, McIntyre can be first spotted meeting with some people, that could possibly be his Scottish friends or family members. Right after, he could be spotted visiting Insane Championship Wrestling and getting set for an interview.
As McIntyre begins to take in the essence of his home field after arriving in Scotland, we will have to wait and see if the time for his glorious moment will indeed come at WWE Clash at the Castle.
