Scott D’Amore’s sudden exit from his role as TNA President shocked the wrestling community. His absence left a significant void in the promotion. With that said, Deonna Purrazzo believes that D’Amore would be a valuable addition to AEW.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc. made significant waves in the wrestling community with the announcement of Anthony Cicione as the new President of TNA Wrestling, replacing the longstanding President Scott D’Amore. D’Amore’s departure marked the conclusion of an era where he played a crucial role in guiding TNA through various transitions and challenges.

Last month, Will Ospreay expressed his interest in having AEW bring in Scott D’Amore, suggesting that D’Amore could potentially take on role overseeing Ring of Honor.

“I remember when I was back there for the IMPACT Show where they announced that it was going to be TNA in January. I looked in the ring and I saw Scott D’Amore in there. And I can’t tell you how much respect I have for Scott D’Amore. And like, if there was anything that I want to put out there… If there is a way that AEW could hire Scott D’Amore in any type of fashion like, have that guy run Ring of Honor or something, because the passion that he had for TNA and just how he completely single-handedly transformed that company… I watched him say, that this is TNA and I saw Josh Alexander in there, I saw Jordynne Grace in there, I saw Gisele Shaw, I saw all of these guys, and I just looked… And I was like, ‘Yeah man! That was TNA. That is TNA.’ All the guys that they got there now, that is TNA man.”

In an interview with Samantha Schipman for Daily DDT, former Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo, who joined AEW in January, discussed the possibility of Scott D’Amore getting involved with AEW or ROH. Purrazzo made it clear that she believe D’Amore being signed to AEW with be hugely beneficial to the company.

”Yeah, if that’s something he’s interested in, absolutely. I think that him and I have cultivated such a great relationship through my time at IMPACT, now TNA and I think that he treats women’s divisions so special. He just had that perfect storm, magic sauce with us. He treated us with so much respect and so much dignity. I think if that’s something he was interested in doing, it would be to our benefit for sure.”

As for Scott D’Amore, he is allegedly being paid to stay at home till early next year. In the meantime, he is making his own moves in the business as well. We’ll have to see what Scott D’Amore will end up doing next, as a run in AEW might be great for him.
