The absence of WWE’s Viking Raiders from television has left fans curious about their whereabouts. The reason for their hiatus is that Erik, one half of the duo, is dealing with health challenges, preventing them from performing together. Interestingly, during his injury hiatus, Erik was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center.
Following neck fusion surgery on the C6/C7 vertebrae last year, Erik has been diligently undergoing rehabilitation. Additionally, he opted for stem cell treatment to aid in his recovery process.
Erik shared a photo on Twitter, showing him in a ring at the WWE Performance Center. He tagged the company and captioned the post with three motivating words seemingly inspired by the second album released by metal pioneers Meshuggah, a popular band from Sweden that The Viking Raiders are fond of.
“Destroy. Erase. Improve. @wwe”
Erik’s last wrestling appearance was on the September 14, 2023, episode of WWE Main Event, recorded on September 11. Despite being scheduled to compete on the September 18 episode of WWE RAW, his ongoing health issues prevented his participation. The exact timeline for Erik’s comeback remains uncertain as he continues his journey toward full recovery.
