CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins electrified the March 25th episode of WWE RAW with a promo segment that garnered significant attention. Recently, McIntyre shared his thoughts on Punk referencing Vince McMahon during the promo.

During that particular episode of Monday Night RAW, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre had a verbal spar on the microphone. During their battle, CM Punk asked McIntyre who named McIntyre ‘The Chosen One,’ which was a Vince McMahon reference.

While speaking to Metro, Drew McIntyre shared his thoughts on CM Punk referencing Vince McMahon during their promo segment. McIntyre admitted that he wanted to say things that would have melted the internet but felt that would have harmed WWE in other ways, so he decided to hold his tongue.

“What was going through my mind was I could respond right now, and would it be a good look for our company? And I have to make a decision because we’re going OK Corral-style, unloading rounds on each other. “I did what I thought was right for not just the company, but for our roster, and held my tongue on that night. I had a couple of things in mind that would have melted the internet, but potentially hurt us in different ways.”

WWE’s backstage reaction to the Vince McMahon reference was also revealed. Nevertheless, fans loved the segment and that is all that matters in the end. As for McIntyre, he is set to challenge Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Clash at The Castle, so we’ll have to see who will come out on top in the match.
