Carmella has been absent from WWE television for several months, as she was preparing for the birth of her child. Now a new mother, fans are eager to know when she will return to the ring. Recently, Carmella provided an update on her in-ring return status.
Carmella and Corey Graves welcomed their newborn son, Dimitri Paul Polinsky, into the world on November 8 following 60 hours of labor. Since then, Carmella has been keeping fans updated on her journey through motherhood.
In case you forgot, Carmella suffered severe foot problem during her 60 hours of labor, and she is still recovering from that even now, but fans still remain hopeful about her in-ring return.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Carmella shared her thoughts on a potential return to wrestling, expressing her eagerness to get back in the ring. However, she confirmed her foot has severe nerve damage and she hasn’t been able to do any physical activity associated with an in-ring return yet but is hopeful she will eventually.
“I would love to return. I mean, I’m obviously so immersed in this motherhood world right now, but honestly, I actually have an injury from delivery. I have a lot of nerve damage that happened, and my foot is kind of nonfunctional right now. It’s something that I never knew could happen during labor and delivery. I have two herniated discs in my back, and that’s correlated to my foot. I haven’t even been able to work out or do anything that will get me back to the ring quite yet. Hopefully, eventually, I’ll get there, but right now I’m just working on it. I’m going to be in physical therapy and things like that. I mean, I’ve been wrestling for 11 years, I’ve never been injured, knock on wood, and now here I have a baby and I’m going to physical therapy. I don’t know how that works out, but here we go.”
Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see when she will be able to make her return to the squared circle, as fans miss Carmella’s infectious energy and wonderful personality as well.
