Booker T Reveals WWE Contract Will Be Expiring Soon

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has been part of the WWE family for several years now and is a mainstay of NXT television. However, it appears Booker T has confirmed his WWE contract will be expiring soon.

The initial plan for Booker T’s NXT commentary stint was to last several months, but he eventually transitioned to joining the brand full-time to provide commentary alongside Vic Joseph.

During a panel at River City Wrestling Con, Booker T discussed his time in NXT and mentioned that his WWE contract should be nearing its end. He emphasized the importance of having fun in wrestling, particularly in NXT, and expressed his enthusiasm for being part of the brand’s exciting atmosphere.

Booker T indicated his willingness to contribute to the talent’s journey to the next level and hinted at the possibility of negotiations or changes in his contract status with WWE.

”I think it’s about having fun more than anything. Wrestling, especially the NXT brand, if you’re watching it and if you’re listening to me and we’re having fun, we’re winning, and I think right now, NXT is hot. Everybody is geared to going out and performing and performing to try to make it to that next level and if I can have any part in these guys making it to the next level, I’ma have some fun. Contract should be coming up here pretty soon and you know, like Sexyy Red, shake it real fast, get a little more (he laughed).”

It is highly likely Booker T will re-sign with WWE as it seems impossible he will choose to work elsewhere. However, with many WWE contracts expiring lately, only time will tell what Booker T will do in the end.
